I have a friend that is moving so he gave me his tank (20 gallon tall). He told me it was a 30 tall but I checked the measurements (24" long X 12" Wide X 16" Tall) and according to the chart it is a 20 tall.
Along with the tank I got 2 large Angelfish, 3 Red Minor Serpae Tetras and a Clown...
Ok thanks so much. I think it's hard to see in the pic but they have some roots about an in long! Should I just cut the rest of the stem all the way back or leave some of it?
I have a rose sword plant and it is shooting out runners! I am wondering when is a good to separate them and plant them elsewhere. I just noticed today that it is shooting out a runner in the back too! How many/often will it do this?
Thanks for any feedback!
I bought some hornwort from my LFS and when I put it in my tank I noticed some very small creatures in the hornwort. Some looked like possibly baby shrimp. I can't identify what this is. It has a skinny body and a bunch of small legs and some antenna looking things coming out of its tail.
I have not fed any live foods. I do have live plants though. I recently added corkscrew val...maybe there was something on that?
I will make sure to clean my tank and filter at separate times from now on. Thanks for the advice!
I did my weekly water change yesterday and when I cleaned my canister filter I found 2 Platy fry. I also noticed a lot of extremely small creatures moving around in the bottom of the filter.
Not knowing what they are I put them in my 10 gallon to get a better look. They seem to run around more...
I'm wondering if my lighting is high/medium/low. I have a 55 gallon tank with a dual t5ho 54w. One bulb is 6000k daylight and the other is 6000k red bulb.
The fixture is 20 inches from the substrate.
