Can you tell from the photo the species of the fish ? (otocinclus, chinese algae eater or something else)

This is an old image of the fish before it totally turned yellow and still looked like a otocinclus but now it is totally yellow

I thought PH swings high &low where just normal parts of the aquarium 'cycle' and to leave it to run its course and not do anything to fix it. I got high & low PH swing when I did my aquarium cycles and just let it run it course and PH stabilized at end of the cycle.

Thanks for your comments, what I could do in future to reduce stress on the pregnant guppy is to use a hatchery net. Placing lots of plants along with the pregnant fish into the hatchery should produce a less stressful environment.

Thinking of getting Mollies to eat the algae. All websites seem to mention only Black mollies, but do you know if any other colourisation of Molly will be fine as well for eating algae?

I investigated filamentous algae but could only find pictures of the algae with green colouration. The algae I have is a grey colour. Is there a variety in grey ? Also if I place the plant in the shade could the algae just die off on its own?

I am using water from my main aquarium (water change) and yes it was originally declorinated tap water. I will look into getting those leaves. Do you feed with yeast , green water or something else?
