wait extra long too add the bamboo shrimp(like, several months). as filter feeders they filter particals out of the water, and can starve quickly in anew tank.

you definitely could not do swordtails in a 10. even platies , imo, are pushing it. and a doubt a 10 gallon could produce enough algea for ottos, which need a mature(>6 months set up)tank.
people use 10s for angelfish EGGS. and some livebearers(ie, molly, swordtail)are too big for a 10. and i personally wouldnt do GBR's in a 10.oh, and what are you planning on doing with the babies? always have a plan.
a 50% pwc is definitely not too much. and you should try to match the temperatures, a heater to match them is not an undo expense. and since you're getting the water from the same soucre every time, i highly doubt the ph will change enough to kill the fish from shock.

i would definitely order online,but my parents wont let me. so i can only really get them there. i think ill get them, and theres absolutely no chance of me getting shrimp that cherries can breed with, i think 3 bucks is a lot for shrimp :P
