    Red eye tetra failing, suggestions?

I have a single red eyed tetra that appears to be on his way to the great aquarium in the sky . . . About a week ago, we noticed he'd lost all his color (except for the eye spot) - the black band through the tail, etc - all washed out. His gills are inflamed, and has no appetite. He was being...

    Help with Cory eggs please.

Hi gang, My green cory's have suddenly started to spawn, with at least one female depositing eggs all over our 29T planted tank. I'm trying to track down advice on how to best move the eggs to a nursery tank, as the 29 is chock full right now with neon, red-eye and black phantom tetra, which...

Slow decline, then death ~ nothing obvious.

Hoping for enlightenment for the future (and maybe save last of trio). We purchased a trio of red delta tail guppies at a club swap meet on October 4th. Vendor gave us info that suggested the females were in they're first pregnancy. Brought them home and drip acclimated them over about 90...

Big (ish) oops - rain (barrel) water.

General FYI to anyone considering using rain water for your aquarium. I've started cycling a 10 g to try out some plants. I was so proud of myself: pulled gravel from my established tank (learned the small pieces are a risk to our little red eared slider), rinsed in water from a poly rain...

    For Sale: Theo Hydor Heaters 400 w & 300 w

I've got two (2) 300 w and two (2) 400 w Theo Hydor heaters. They're used but all test good (I ran each in a 20 gallon long so the temps tended to over-shoot, but they did switch off.) Like to get $17.00 (includes domestic shipping).

pH and GH values for darters?

Trying to track down appropriate 'happy' values for pH, GH, total alkalinity for darter, sculpin and minnow community. I've got a red eared slider hatchling in a native semi-stream tank with a selection of the mentioned fish. Water is 7.6 for pH, GH came out at 200 pom (API titration tests)...

    Hello from Missouri Ozarks

Fell (back) into keeping a fw aquarium about 8 weeks ago. Rescued a 2" red eared slider turtle hatchling from a swimming pool skimmer. Took the little dazed and confused guy home to recuperate and now we're keeping a 29 gal (soon to be 40) native tank. (I'm pretty dazed and confused myself...
