Crab shed

Should I just leave the shred from the crab in the tank or try and remove it?

It`s called the molt and just leave it in there if you want. I do in mine and it always disapears.

I've heard crabs will sometimes eat the molt to get the nutrients they need to harden their new armour. Unless it's going moldy or something I'd leave it.

I use to always remove mine. Then read on here to leave it. It is always gone in a matter of hours.
