Girlfriend is stocking her 20 gal. Came to a standstill on shrimp.. Or crayfish.

She knows the risks, behaviors, and such of both. She wants to keep fish with em.

Anyone got any valuable input, opinions, or stories to share??

You can keep cray with shrimp? Wouldn't they just end up eating them?

Go with 1 marmorkreb or a cherry shrimp colony , if you give the kreb hiding spots and feed it you'll eventually have a bunch of small Crays running around for your fish to snack on monthly.

dwarf crays stay really small. My amano shrimp are actually bigger right now and the dwarfs cap at like 2"
I just got my first and its awesome. Im thinking of getting another.
Personally Id stear clear of cherry shrimp in a 20 gallon. Youll never see them and never know if they are getting eaten or hiding. It was money down the toilet for me.
The amano are good algea grazers and the dwarfs are good bottom cleaners.
Could get a couple ghost shrimp to. I bought 2 new ones a couple weeks ago but they disappeared on me. Like GONE. I have no idea where they went. I dont believe anything ate them cause prior to them I had to other ghost shrimp fine in the tank. They died of natural causes.

Well that is interesting! She decided to opt for shrimp with fish. She currently has 2 cory cats. 1 albino 1 Juli.

3 amano shrimp and 2 ghost shrimp.

She plans on adding more cory to keep them happy, more shrimp, and some colorful top fish like guppies.
