Ah Oh! It has started guys! This addiction is coming back!!!
Anyway here are the latest additions.
Mummy eye chalice
Two color war coral ( red and purple )
Regal Angel
And of course for the life of me I can't remember what this coral is.....
Wow... For some reason that angel reminds me of an Indian tusk
Acronuts said:Hmmmmm is there an Indian tusk type of fish out there?
I will google to find out!
Yep search Harlequin Tusk
Acronuts said:Lol! I thought that was what you meant! Did not know that the harlequin tusk was also know as the Indian tusk.
There are two types of harlequin tusks. One is indo pacific and they other is Australian
Is your aviator the Australian tusk?
Yep. So much more color than the Indo-Pacific one.
Acronuts said:I actually looked the fish up in live aquaria.com and saw that the Aussie one has more blue and looks really vibrant. Is yours in a reef or a FOWLR? If its in a reef how are your crabs and other inverts?
Congrats on your new additions! I will be getting a Yellow Tang eventually, great fish!
Thanks redsea! Those guys are constantly finding and eating algae . They are well worth it in any reef tank IMO !
Have you ever gotten ich before? If so, how did you treat it with that many fish?
Thanks!
Tangs have a much thinner slime coat naturally. So any stress at all exposes them to the parasite. Be careful that quarantining them doesn't make their stress worse. Give them some good hiding holes, even in the QT tank. It is the problem with tangs that I have found only good health really works in the long run. Mine are kept really fat and I haven't seen any problems in many years (knock on wood).
